Clubs last week SPORTS CLUB
Last weekend we had sports club. Two hours straight of intense football took it’s toll(made very tired) on some of the teachers and students. Overall though, it was a blast (very fun).
MUSIC CLUB
As always, Marcin and his band Papilla www.papilla.com.pl rocked the house with original tunes that shook “Something Different” www.somethingdifferent.pl. Make sure you check out their website and support the band at their next “gig”(show).
Picture of the week
Teachers showing off their moves and cutting a rug (dancing very well) Saturday night to the music of Papilla.
Idioms of the week
Hit the sack/hay: Go to sleep. I’ve been studying enlglish all day, I need to hit the sack.
Hard feelings: Bad feelings towards another person. It’s alright if you killed my dog, no hard feelings.
Have something down pat: Know something very well. In 10 years, you’ll have english down pat.
Jump to conclusions: Make decisions too quickly. So you found lipstick on shirt collar, don’t jump to conclusions.
Keep an eye on: Watch something very carefuly. You must keep an eye on small children.
Keep in touch: Stay in contact with someone. Do you think most of the teachers at Callan keep in touch with their family?
