Spring has officially sprung as of Tuesday the 21st. While most of the world is enjoying the birds chirping (singing), the sun shining, kids playing outside, and nice warm weather, we here in Poland are still just struggling to get above zero degrees and the streets are still flooded with the water from snow. Oh well, not everyone can be as lucky as we are.

MUSIC CLUB
Marcin will be jamming with is band Papilla http://www.papilla.com.pl/ at “Something Different” http://www.somethingdifferent.pl/ this Saturday starting at 20:00. Tickets can be bought at the door for 7zl or you can purchase them in the secretary's office for the special price of 5zl.

FILM CLUB

James will be showing the flim "Mulholland Drive" http://www.gutekfilm.com.pl/mulholland-drive/ .

SPORTS CLUB

Sports
As expected, March Madness is great! We have 6 participants with a winner that will take home 120 zl. There is still one more week of basketball left, but the current leaders are James, Tomasz, (yes, a Polish man is in second place) and Lee. Everyone else participating (Matt, Jake, Jan) are struggling and will probably fail miserably.

What is the Spring Equinox?
On the Spring Equinox the Sun rises exactly in the east travels through the sky for 12 hours and sets exactly in the west. Every place on earth experiences a 12 hour day twice a year on the Spring and Fall Equinox.
After the Spring Equinox, the Sun still continues to follow a higher and higher path through the sky, with the days growing longer and longer, until it reaches it highest point in the sky on the Summer Solstice.
